I didn’t see that, but I did see everyone kind of looking up in anticipation after Kerry had finished his speech. The balloons eventually came down, but rather haphazardly.
What I thought was amusing was last night toward the beginning of Kerry’s speech, when he was just about to acknowledge Edwards, the camera on C-Span went early on to Edwards, who, along with everyone around him, was receiving a cup of beer or some other alcoholic drink, and when Edwards realized that the cameras would be on him soon, he got this fierce look, frowned and started snapping, “Pay attention, pay attention, pay attention, pay attention!” to everybody in the box and then, right on cue, suddenly showcased this huge smile and saluted Kerry with a look full of adoration…
Ew.

What happened with the baloons sounds a lot like our commencement. I’d think that the DNC would be willing to spend a tad more money on baloons than say Brandeis would.
As for the second part….ewwww…..
