April Fools (a few days early)
Double bonus out of the Alma Matter today, as in addition to its regular weekly edition, the Justice has published it’s annual April Fools edition!
Highlights include:
“English department axed” (heh!)
“Admissions to crack down on the physically undesirable”
“Bastards: Congress Subpoenas Ollie the Owl” (talk about congressional overreach)
A funny jab at Ann Coulter
The obligatory housing lottery crack
But they could’ve done without the Sam Dewey pic.
What’s up with the desperate for money jokes in the bottom of page 2? We are the desperate ones scrounging for every dollar we can … tear… but the whole announcement thing is probably the best part of the issue…:)

My sophomore year their April Fools joke was an all-male swimsuit issue, featuring several students, profs, and administrators. Don’t think that’ll ever be topped.

I’d highly doubt that

oh, if only that headline about admissions cracking down on ugly people were true …
actually, a buddy of mine used to work in the admissions office. he told me that if kids sent in their applications with a picture, and they were attractive, they were bumped to the top of the pile.

Oh, if only, if only.
I wouldn’t be suprised if that rumor was true though.
