We had a field-trip to a gun range when I was a Senior at Brandeis; and it was a lot of fun!
So it looks like another Justice Reporter has taken the plunge and gone with Brandeis’ Gun Club (creatively named: “Kind of Like Duck Hunt”) on a trip to the firing range
Last year there was coverage about this club:
A Bang From Brandeis
Over at the Volokh Conspiracy, Prof. Volokh catches a College Newspaper runnign some mathematically illogical statistics
This seems to only bolster a case for having a basic math course as a requirement for college students
So tomorrow the President will deliver his SOTU address–and I”m just wondeirng, what is he really going to talk about?
Sure there were elections in Iraq and Afghanistan, and so on and so forth and there’s Iran….that’s the kind of stuff I’m expecting.
What’s he really going to talk about domestically? Besides from the 2 new SCOTUS justices, has anything important been accomplished on the domestic agenda? Soc. Sec. reform is/was DOA and well, his tax-reform panel also came up lame.
I’m wondering…will there be anything new or novel unveiled tomorrow night? If so–what?

Shame on Rep. Marty Meehan (D-MA) for using his staff to alter the Wikipedia entry on him.
Perhaps it’s then for the better that Wikipedia has banned access to domains from Capitol Hill
Slashdot: Wikipedia vs Congressional Staffers
Now for the $64,000 question: of the 535 lawmakers on Capitol Hill—how many of ‘em actually know what Wikipedia is?
Israel (rightfully so) has decided not to transfer tax recipts to the new Hamas-controlled Palestinian Legislature
Now my only question is what took Israel so long to come to this (correct) action? It should’ve been a no-brainer open and shut type of decision. No?
Yeah, enough procrastinating on my part. I’m gonna clean up my apartment today, I guess it’s a good thing that it’s raining oiutside, even moer motivation to stay in and work.
As previously noted, the Sister is participating in the Columbia University Dance Marathon right now
(all proceeds benefit the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation)
Tonight I’ll go over to Columbia and pay the sister a visit. I’m also going to be taking some pictures (yes mom, I will get photos) and see how she’s doing during this 28hr event!
After all, the sister is the one in the family who can dance.
Me dancing? Forget about it!
I like reading Slashfood a lot…but the blog has just committed an act of heresy in my book:
Denouncing the making of eggs the way they should be made: in the microwave!
Explanation below the fold

Dick Morris has a good piece in today’s NY Post (The name Clinton doesn’t even come up once: bonus)!
CUT OFF U.S., U.N. AID
Sounds like a good idea to me
That’s the assinine idea put forward by someone at where else but the Huff Post
This is so stupid I wouldn’t even know where to begin in rebuting it
So Hamas won…and a terrorist group governs the Palestinians.
Is anyone suprised that a terror group won? The two main contenders were Hamas and Fatah–both terror groups…

Getting paid so much for such an easy job and getting to sleep on the clock! Where do I sign up!
(No, I’m actually happy with my current job mind you–and I did get to sleep for a day on the job in the name of science)
Over at Ankle Biting Pundits is this post:
What Would Jack Bauer Do? Library Won’t Assist In Terror Plot Investigation
It’s not quite what you see on shows like 24, but last week there was a very tense 10 hour “standoff” involving the Newton (Mass.) Police Department and the FBI on one side, and, get this, the Newton Free Library on the other. What was the reason for this stare down? A terrorist threat had been made against Brandeis University from one of the library’s computer. When the police and FBI came, the Library Director refused to let them search the computer without a warrant. According to one officer:
Now what would Jack Bauer have done?
Bonus thought: What if Bauer were to go to the Brandeis campus directly to investigate the threat? Who do you think Bauer would’ve dealt with first (this is Bauer after all)?
Would he even visit with Jehuda?
