Gym Talk

Gym related stuff below the fold…if you don’t care for iron talk, then skip this post

PR’d today in my DB bench press. Hit 85lb x 2 reps after a 6/3/1 wave loading sequence.
Granted, I’m still rehabbing a sholder impingement–but this was still an all together PR. (I’ve been refraining from BB benching for this reason)

Noticed that my sticking point on the lift was getting the weight off the chest more so than that lockout. (I forget if this means I’ve got a weak chest or triceps–or both). Perhaps it’s time to start training the triceps with some iso-work?

  1. Josh-
I am impressed with the iron talk but I myself have picked up the running bug. Let me know when you can tell me about impressive times running 3 miles or even doing a 5k race!

  2. I was actually running for quite a while, especially when it was warm out. I’d gotten to about an 8 min/mi on the sidewalks here in the city. (Urban harzard running?)

Unfortunately, I had to hang up the running shoes while I resolved some IT band issues and some ankle mobility stuff (which reminds me–I need to follow up with the doc).

    Running was quite addicting.
