Tonight’s Super Bowl was quite a good game. Scratch that–it was a very good game.

The Saints simply outplayed the Colts in the end (obviously). A few quick observations before I hit the sack:

–The Colts featured a running attack which definitely caught the Saints off-guard. (Who would’ve expected that?)

–The Saints time of possession in the 2nd quarter was clutch–essentially by moving the ball on a long, long drive they kept the ball out of Manning’s hand–which neutralized Indy.

–Can’t say enough about the Saint’s Special Teams play. Excellent punt/kick-off coverage. Bush’s return late in the 2nd quarter. Good starting field position. The three FGs (versus Stover–who is somehow still playing–missing one). And the On-Side kick was huge!
