Not quite sure why Labor Day is a holiday…but it meant a day off work.
Too bad my brain, decided that it at long last wants to maintain a schedule. My brain “realized” it was Monday, and woke me up at my normal weekday wake up time on a day when I could have slept in.
Brain–we need to have a talk.
Spent the day taking care of a few personal matters, but for the most part, attempted to enjoy the outdoors and relax.
Also had to get packed (easy) as I’m flying home tomorrow evening for Rosh Hashanah.
Tomorrow starts in the Big Apple and ends in Shaker Heights
Yes, I’ve not posted much lately. Granted, I’ve not had much to say that has not already been said by others.
Work has kept me busy, as I’ve been engaged in quite a few projects, which are slowly but surely coming to fruition. However, as they’re not “there” yet, out of respect for my employer, I will not comment on specifics. Let me put it this way, despite my frustration with some things at work (everyone has those kinds of feeling) on the whole things are looking up for me. That’s all I’ll say here.
Still been spending some of my personal time doing some personal medical research. It’s intellectually stimulating, but at the same time, it’s a work in progress, so I can’t really say much here.
So Friday at work was not as I planned.
There goes my attempt to go into the day with a list of set things I want to accomplish.
Our staff of four was ultimately down to–me.
The only upside was the Testosterone/Estrogen balance was overwhelmingly in my favor!
It’s a bit hard to juggle all the incoming phone calls, have a mass mailing to get out, reports to coal ate and distribute, prescriptions to send, charts to file–all with just two hands. (And the phone isn’t cordless either!)
In the end though, I emerged successful. While I didn’t get to accomplish everything I’d set out to do, everything that was time-sensitive was finished–as well as a few other items on my task list.
And yesterday, I just needed to relax and lay low…
The Buckeyes kicked off this evening and look very sharp. With the exception of a special teams miscue–everything is running like a well oiled machine.
Pryor appears to have grown and matured as a QB. The Buckeyes speed is also markedly improved.
The power of the sweater vest continues…
There were a couple of things that came together this AM to make me quite angry at work this morning.
Granted, my mood lightened as the day went on–but I still had a bit of a chip on my shoulder for a certain thing. No biggie.
Finally got a copy of the lab results from my visit in July to the Endocrinologist (which left me less than satisfied). The numbers, with the exception of my vitamin D levels disappointed me quite a bit–and I’ll have to look into how to address those.
Back to Football!
Thursday night college football–eh…
But when it means the start of tOSU’s season….let’s get the scarlet and gray apparel out, the sweater vest on, and it’s time for some football!
