Hyper-criticism
The usual suspects (the hyper PC crowd) are up in arms over Target’s “illegal alien” costume.
Thing is–the costume is a space alien!
*shakes head*

Muslim Cleric: Pepsi is “Zionist Plot”
What’s really ironic is that the cleric is obviously rather ignorant of Pepsi’s history vis-a-vis Israel (Pepsi wasn’t sold in Israel until 1992 if fear of Pepsi losing its market share in the Arab bloc)
Congressman Rangel:
“If you become an officer and you have a pistol and you are of color, in or out of uniform, your chances of getting shot down by a police officer are a lot heavier than if you were not of color,”
Not to mention that as the story has been reported now, when approached by police, the (now) deceased officer didn’t put down his weapon, and instead turned to face the (shooting) officer with his gun drawn….
From the same article:
But NYPD procedure for officer confrontation places the responsibility on the out-of-uniform officers. They are instructed to drop their weapon, stay still and to obey all directions from the uniformed officers to diffuse the tense situation.
It’s really ashame that Oprah is giving a platform for Jenny McCarthy to share her mal-informed opinions from.
It’s got the potential to send the wrong message. After all, there are outbreaks poppung up of diseases that are preventable via vaccine.
Gawker rightfully and nicely digs into the Huffington Post for running this silly article of Jim Carrey’s.
(Warning: reading Carrey’s article could potentially be damaging to one’s intellegence).
Gawker, responds to Carrey in simple terms, saying:
“VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM” is 9/11 Truther hysterical idiocy at its dumbest.
Exactly!
Chavez calls on Obama to follow path of socialism
Anyone got the latest stats on how Venezuela’s economy is doing?
Carter: Israel’s response to rockets disproportionate
Since Carter thinks its wrong….it’s probably the right thing to do then!
Senator Warns of ‘Riots’ if Automakers Are Bailed Out…
Problem is many of those opposed to siad bailout have jobs that they’ll be working at rather than “rioting”.
/Just saying
Oh, the UWS…
This video of the McCain for Manhattan group parading through a street fair this past weekend is just priceless.
Obviously, McCain does not poll well amongst UWSers who enjoy attending street fairs.
UN says eat less meat to curb global warming
In fact, I just went to the butcher to buy some dead animal for tomorrow–Meat Monday!
The UN can’t really be serious about this, can it?
Granted, I don’t eat meat daily, mostly because Kosher meat costs too much, but still….
Sadly, the type of people who run for city government positions are the hyper-activist uber-PC crowd.
The most recent example comes from Dallas, where the term “Black hole” was deemed racist by one council member
Apparently the counsel member knows nothing about astronomy…
Ahmadinejad target of ‘Rome X-ray plot’, diplomat says
Perhaps he’d like to don some tin foil the next time he’s in Rome to avoid the evil radiation waves…
Funny to see the ultimate money chaser (a.k.a The IRS) go after Al Sharpton’s shake down cash:
Usually any entity that manages to bring the loonies out to protest it merits a visit.
In this case, it’s Bruce Willis’ new wine bar on the Bowry.
Heck, I usually avoid places like snooty wine bars, because they’re, well, snooty! (nor do I drink…) This place sounds like total win!
Just as a stopped watch is right twice a day, once in a while, the Lyndon Larouche nutcases get one right.
Today on Third Ave they had a sign up stating: “Don’t Let George Soros choose your next president”
Then the rest of their signs were the usual idiotic garbage for which they’re known
Al Sharprton has revealed some of his plans to protest the Sean Bell verdict
What puzzles this individual is what exactly is tying up traffic going to do for one’s cause? Traffic is already tied up in most places to begin with. Did one take into account the needs of emergency vehicles to get through? Second, if you’re looking to win “hearts + minds” to your cause–this is hardly the way to do it.
Third, how are people who are employed going to suddenly “appear” for these demonstrations? Fourth–why have a demonstration at 125th and 3rd–in Harlem, where Sharpton more likely has a base of support to begin with. And if as Sharpton’s supporters claim that what the police did was “murder”, why weren’t there protests after the grand jury only handed down manslaughter indictments?
It’s not worth contemplating the lack of logic behind this…as this is Al Sharpton we’re talking about here.
Because the judicial system didn’t give him the verdict he wanted, Al Sharpton is threatening to “Shut down NYC”
*Yawn!*
First off, there’s no way he’ll shut down the City. The MTA strike didn’t even accomplish that.
Second, the legal system has run its course. If he wants to protest or complain about anything, he should take it up with the Queens DA for the poor case he made.
Third–why does the media keep covering this man’s bellicose rhetoric?
Carter gets denied entry into Gaza…
Guess that means that he won’t be building any houses there…
Apparently Israel is free from any deadly Killer Rabbits (Arnavei HaMavet?) and as such, Israel did the right thing in declining to give Jimmy Carter any special security detail.
